Job Opportunity: Bidding Engineer cum Estimation Engineer

A reputable company in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Bidding Engineer cum Estimation Engineer to join their team. This role involves preparing competitive bids, tenders, and cost estimates for facility management projects, requiring a balance of technical expertise and market insight.

Key Responsibilities:

Bidding and Tender Preparation:

• Analyze tender documents, specifications, and client requirements.
• Conduct site visits to gather data for accurate bid preparation.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations) to gather information.
• Develop comprehensive technical and commercial proposals.

Cost Estimation:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Maintain a database of costs and rates for services, materials, and equipment.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct market research to identify potential projects.
• Analyze competitor pricing strategies and market trends.
• Stay updated on industry standards and regulations.

Client Liaison and Negotiation:

• Engage with clients to clarify project requirements and provide support.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and subcontractors.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarifications.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of bids and estimates.
• Prepare regular reports on bidding performance and market insights.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bidding, estimation, or tendering roles in facility management.
• Strong understanding of facility management services (MEP, HVAC, general maintenance).
• Proficiency in estimation software (AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
