Job Summary
The Airports Design Engineer is responsible for developing airside civil infrastructures and master planning, as well as assisting in providing project solutions within a multidisciplinary environment. This role ensures that designs meet the needs of clients, adhere to local authorities’ regulations, and comply with international standards and codes of practice.
Key Responsibilities
·        Assist in the development of airport designs, including all necessary drawings and reports, for projects of varying complexities.
·        Refine selected airport design options into schematic and draft final designs, preparing all required drawings and reports as directed.
·        Coordinate with other design disciplines throughout all design stages (schematic and detailed), using BIM as the design platform to ensure a clash-free, coordinated design.
·        Provide geometrical design for airside infrastructure.
·        Review design deliverables with senior project teams and make revisions based on feedback and checking reports as needed.
·        Support Senior Engineers and team leaders with value engineering activities for airport design deliverables as required.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills
·        A bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or similar related Engineering. A master’s degree is preferred.
·        3-5 years of experience in designing roads and airports.
·        Excellent communication and presentation skills.
·        Enthusiastic about creativity and digitalization.
·        Extensive experience with Civil 3D, Navisworks, InfraWorks, and GIS.
·        Proficient in Python and Dynamo.
·        Familiarity with aviation planning software (e.g., AVIPLAN, CAST) is advantageous.
·        Strong interpersonal skills.
·        Fluent in both spoken and written English and Arabic
