The Ministry of Interior has issued a warning to expatriates in Saudi Arabia that failure to leave the Kingdom after the expiry of their entry visas could result in fines of up to SR50,000, imprisonment for up to six months, and deportation.

The ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to the official Hajj and Umrah guidelines, clarifying that all types of visas, except the official Hajj visa, do not permit holders to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
Saudi Ministry of Interior also urged citizens and residents to report violators of Hajj regulations by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other regions.

Additionally, the ministry reminded Hajj and Umrah service providers that they may face fines of up to SR 100,000 if they fail to report pilgrims who overstay their visas.
